StudentAid BC is designed to help B.C. residents overcome financial barriers to post-secondary education. It is a partnership between the provincial and federal governments.
After high-school, you have the primary responsibility for paying for your further education. Most students meet their costs through employment income, savings, assets and support from family. However, if this is not enough, StudentAid BC may be able to supplement your own financial resources to help you reach your educational goals.
If you are a B.C. resident planning to attend a college, university, university-college, public institute or private training school, StudentAid BV is the central source for information on student loans.
B.C. student loans are provided by the provincial government. Canada student loans are provided by the federal government. Though there is a single application process for both types of loans, each government addresses repayment issues and inquiries separately.
