The CUFBC was established in 1958 by BC credit unions to help members access post-secondary education and support systems. We are driven by a vision of a stronger social, economic and environmental future and a desire to encourage cooperation and social responsibility. Our goal is to support students who embody a community-driven mindset, and/or who face additional barriers, so that they can reach their full potential and make meaningful contributions to the well-being of their communities.
Who we serve:
- Students with financial barriers to accessing or completing their post-secondary education.
- Students facing additional barriers (single parents, caregivers, those living with disability, mental or physical health challenges, and others).
- Students who embody a commitment to cooperative values and a community-driven mindset, and those pursuing social impact/values-driven careers.
